This series began with 'Mine' a print that just drew itself the day I decided to cut a certain person out of my life. What followed was an abundance of thoughts of what it means to 'reclaim' your body. A journey I am still on today.
I am grateful to these prints as they have sparked the most meaningful conversations between myself and other women at markets. Everyone has there own reason they relate to the words. Particularly the words 'My Body Is Mine'.
Before I shared these with the public in 2022 I was shaking with nerves. I felt like I was putting my body out there. Now I'm not so nervous about that. With everything that is happening around the world right now. I think these illustrations, are the most important ones I have ever drew.
I have these prints on my walls and by my bed at home. They serve as the reminder I need to give myself everyday.
