I thought The Postcard Project as I was sat in a cafe in Jericho, Oxford. I had treat myself to a lovely coffee and pastry but dampened the experience for myself by getting my phone out and doomscrolling, something I could have done at home.

My phone addiction is quite rampant at the moment, and just like with any other addiction, the solution isn't to just get rid of the habit, the best thing is to replace it with something else.

I am always thinking how I would like to send more postcards and letters to my loved ones around the country and world. What if there was a reminder to do so every time I bought my coffee? What if I could buy a cute postcard with my coffee and in those ten minutes of first sitting down, instead of pulling out my phone and scrolling reels, I wrote to some one I have been wanting to reach out to.
